The Turing test is a test, created by Alan Turing in 1950, of a machine's capacity to show insightful conduct comparable to, or undefined from, that of a human. Turing recommended that a human evaluator would judge regular dialect discussions between a human and a machine that is intended to produce human-like reactions. The evaluator would know that one of the two accomplices in the discussion is a machine, and all members would be isolated from each other. The test was presented by Turing in his paper, "Processing Machinery and Intelligence" while working at the University of Manchester (Turing, 1950; p. 460).[4] It opens with the words: "I propose to consider the question, 'Can machines think?'" Because "considering" is hard to characterize, Turing replaces "the question by another, which is firmly identified with it and is communicated in moderately unambiguous words."[5] Turing's new question is: "Are there conceivable advanced PCs which would do well in the impersonation game?"[6] This question, Turing accepted, is one that can really be replied. In the rest of the paper, he contended against all the significant complaints to the recommendation that "machines can think".[7]
